InquireInside the eight weeks
You cut. He watches. You cut again.
Foundation is in person because correction has to land while your hand is still moving. There is no timetable to publish here, but the shape of a week never changes.
- 01
You watch it done properly
Junior cuts first, close enough that you can see the hand and not just the result. Nothing on a screen stands in for that.
- 02
Then it is your hands
Mannequin work first, then live heads on the floor. You are holding tools in the first week, not waiting for permission to start.
- 03
He says what he sees
The correction is specific and it is about the cut in front of you. It arrives while you are still holding the clipper, not as a grade at the end.
- 04
You do it again
The same cut until it holds without him standing there. Repetition is the program, not a penalty for getting it wrong the first time.
What tuition covers
In. And not in.
Registration buys floor time and Junior's attention. It does not buy your tools or your licence, and it is better that you know that before you pay than after.
Included
- A place on the Academy floor for the full eight weeks, in person
- Junior's eyes on your work while you are working, not a video and a quiz
- Chair time, stations, and mannequin heads to practise on
- Study access, added alongside registration at $99 CAD + GST
- The completion certificate once the whole program is finished
Not included
- Your kit. Clippers, trimmers, shears, and blades are yours to bring and yours to keep
- A provincial licence or any trade certification
- Travel, parking, and somewhere to stay
- A job. Finishing is not an offer of a chair at Junior's House
How you finish
Watched, not ticked off.
Finishing the material and finishing the program are not the same thing, so it is worth being plain about which one earns the certificate.
- How you are assessed
- On the floor, while you work. Junior watches the cut and says whether it holds up. Getting to the end of the material is not the same as passing.
- What you are awarded
- Foundation Certificate of Completion. It is issued for the whole program only. There is no smaller award to collect on the way through, so there is nothing to bank if you stop halfway.
- What it is not
- Not a provincial barber licence and not a trade certification. Licensing is a separate route with its own body, and this certificate does not shorten it.
Questions
Ask before you pay.
The things people actually ask on the phone, answered here instead.
ExperienceDo I need experience to start? No prior barbering experience required
Foundation is the starting program and it assumes nothing. Plenty of people arrive having never held a clipper.
If you are already working and think you would be bored, say so on the inquiry. Junior will tell you honestly whether to start further along rather than sell you the eight weeks twice.
Tell Junior where you areKitWhat tools do I have to bring?Your own clippers, trimmers, shears, and blades
Kit is not included in tuition and it is not resold to you here. Bring what you already own.
If you are buying tools for the first time, ask before you spend. Junior would rather tell you what to buy once than watch you replace it in a month.
Ask what to bringRefundsWhat happens if I change my mind?Tuition is generally final — read the policy before you pay, not after
Course payments and deposits are generally final, non-refundable, and non-transferable, because a place and Junior's time are held for you the moment you pay.
If the school cancels, or in exceptional medical or personal circumstances, the team reviews individually. The written agreement controls, so read it first.
Read the refund policyLicensingDoes this let me work as a barber? It is Junior's completion award, not a government licence
What you leave with is a certificate of completion from Junior's Academy. It is not a provincial barber licence and it is not a trade certification.
Licensing is a separate route with its own body and its own requirements. Nobody here will tell you otherwise to close a sale.
DatesHow does a start date get set after I pay?PayPal takes the payment; the start date is agreed with Junior
Paying here is one PayPal checkout. It is not a subscription and nothing recurs, so there is nothing to cancel later.
PayPal sends the receipt. The start date is agreed with Junior. If you have paid and do not have a date yet, send an inquiry with the receipt and it gets sorted.
